Jan Groover often uses macro photography in her work. Showing the tiny details in everyday objects creates an abstract view on what we regularly know and use.

It also can show small characteristics which our naked eyes would not normally see.

This photo in particular focusses on a metal teas set. The colours are fairly similar so there is a low contrast in the shades of the metals. The roundness of the milk jug distorts the curve of the fork adding to the surreal feeling of the photo.

The image uses the rule of thirds, the main interests are in the bottom right corner and left side. This creates a pleasing viewing experience for the audience as there is a structure to the photo.

This photo also has a deep focus because everything is sharp and clear.
